Ahhh.... The Weekend

I really have had such a busy week that there wasn't a chance to do updates! But while she's sleeping (yes, on me again), I'll do a few.

Momma had a very busy week. In the first three days of the week, I had already racked up 21 clinical hours. We also had spent time on Sunday and Monday doing some straightening up of the house because we had cleaners come in and do a "deep clean" of the house on Tuesday. Yes, I paid to have someone else clean. I felt really guilty, but it was totally worth the money. Less than $300 with tax, and they did so much -- cleaned all the windows & miniblinds, mopped or swept all the floors, scrubbed all the bathrooms (including both showers, all the toilets, and the counters), cleaned ALL the woodwork in the house (including baseboards and doors), polished all metal surfaces, and cleaned all the appliances in the kitchen. They even moved the fridge out and cleaned behind and under it! Everything got dusted or wiped off. It took 3 people 6 hours of work, but the place is cleaner than it was when we moved in and I feel a huge sense of relief. Now it will be easier for me to keep it clean AND I won't worry about Emma so much when she starts to crawl. Again, totally worth the money.

Emma had a so-so week. She had a few days at daycare where she wouldn't eat again, but she seemed to be doing a little better with naps. I'm still worried about her weight, but didn't get a chance to go weigh her today. We are going to try to weigh her on the Wii tomorrow -- we did it today, but she was fully dressed with a wet diaper, so I don't think it was accurate. We did go to the office today and visit the staff there, and she enjoyed that. She's really becoming quite the smiler and is cooing more now.

We're all still sick, but it's getting better. Mine turned into a nasty sinus infection, but I haven't had a chance to get to the doctor so I'm hoping the musinex and nasal spray work to get rid of it. Emma is congested but seems to be tolerating it fairly well. Daddy developed a cough that I'm sure we'll both develop, but it's not horrible.

She was cooing so much today that I tried to capture it on video, but as soon as I pulled out the camera, she stopped! She did chew on her fist for me, so that's what you get to see for right now. :)

I'm glad it's the weekend. Not that we get to sleep in (today she was up at 4:30am again), but because I have no work responsibilities and can just hang out with her. And hopefully can take some more pictures to share!
