The Snot Continues!

We're well into week 3 of this nasty bug. It's moved into Daddy's lungs, and is moving down into mine. I lost my voice last night, and am still very croaky. Poor Emma, luckily the snot is mostly flowing out of her nose (but onto everything else). She is struggling so much when she is feeding, and her poor tummy doesn't feel good because of all the snot she's swallowed. I've seen more throw-up/spit-up in the last 2 days than I have all of her prior life!

I hope we're all feeling better because on Thursday, we're going to take our first big family trip to Washington, DC. We're driving, so we don't have to haul everything onto a plane, but it will be challenging since Emma is not a big fan of the carseat. It typically takes 7 hours to get there, but I'm anticipating 10 with all the stops we'll need to take to give her a break. We're going to do a trial run of packing to see if everything will fit!

The exciting part is that we'll get to see two very, very good friends while we're there, and I can't wait. If there are any blossoms left on the cherry trees, we'll get some pictures of Emma amongst those too! I love Washington DC for so many reasons.
